Quirky, funky, and homely, enjoy.. from White Gables is at the heart of the village in Moycullen, Co. Galway. It is a wonderful haven of home cooked foods, breads, cakes and unique gifts.

The salon experience at Billie Jean hinges on two very important details: luxury and the best service bar none. Personal touch and great customer service makes all the difference. The luxurious romantic feel of the Billie Jean brand mark with its hairlines and ball serifs gives it a sophisticated personality. The printed items feature a copper foil juxtaposed with an off white tactile board.

Identity Design / Printed Collateral / Social Media Branding
The iconic White Gables Restaurant in Galway was looking for a brand refresh to celebrate 25 years in business. Working closely with the owners we developed a new brand mark and visual language to reflect the elegant dining experience that is White Gables. "It’s the little things that lead to excellence. Our food is fresh, our customers spoiled. We treat every meal as a special occasion".

LOGOS / BRAND MARKS
The following is a selection of Brand Marks I have designed over the past number of years. These vary from local cafes to large corporates across a number of sectors. Some of the identities were created whilst working at other design studios both in Ireland and Australia.

THE VILLAGE FOODSTORE
The idea behind The Village Foodstore was to create a local cafe where real whole food cooking is at the heart of what they do.
Everything is freshly made from mostly local ingredients and the menu is updated seasonally. The simple typographic led branding was created to support this hands on approach.

DESIGN REFERENCE APP
With emerging graphic designers in mind, I worked with Shillington College to create a free design reference app.
This app is a really useful tool for designers who are just starting out… or anyone who needs to brush up on their design terminology. It features design basics such as Adobe CC keyboard shortcuts, international paper sizes, typography definitions and tips. It also includes an artwork checklist and pre-press terminology.
The app was created in collaboration with Simon Doyle and the talented Rici & Marc from Semi Strange and is available for download here.

TEACH DE BROC
After 2o years in business, the Brock family were looking to refresh the identity of their Country House Hotel & Restaurant.
Taking cues from the original logo of a golfer and pushing it further — the result is a bold and contemporary typographic mark that gives a subtle reference to its location next to the world famous Ballybunion Golf Club.
Complementing this, is the informal script logotype of Strollers bistro, which reflects the relaxed atmosphere and inviting food that appeals to golfers, tourists and locals alike.
Regarded as one of the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival must see events — The Spirit of the Black Dress is an annual fashion photography exhibition, runway show and fashion film that showcases ten of Australia’s most innovative emerging sustainable fashion designers.
This identity was inspired by the pre-digital typeface L&C Hairline by Herb Lubalin & Tom Carnase 1966. The simplicity of the thin lines and inclusion of the dots referencing a needle and thread. The typeface design translates through all collateral.
